This project was part of the bank’s goal to expand and establish a new branch location in close proximity to the rapidly growing medical center area in North-Central San Antonio, Texas. The project consisted of a Multi-use Facility that includes a new bank with drive-thru lanes and an assembly area for conference training and corporate events. Care and sensitivity was integrated into the site planning and construction to maximize on saving the existing Oak trees that added an irreplicable charm to the project.

The assembly area includes a catering kitchen and a rear enclosed patio with granite pavers shaded by numerous Oak Trees. To keep monthly operating costs low, the project, the ICF design, integrated natural lighting clerestories in the main lobby, utilizes Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) construction and energy efficient LED lighting throughout the project. The opportunity to utilize AMVIC ICF Blocks at the building perimeter as load bearing walls radically simplified the structural design and enabled the creation of the desired building mass and proportions evident of the final design. During the evenings, the front of the building is accentuated by color changing LED fixtures that highlight the elegant granite cladding on the ICF exterior of the building.
