45-Day Construction Period

Due to tight job-site constraints causing for new construction while the existing bank remained open to be unrealistic, there would be customers left without convenient banking services during construction. As a result, it was essential that the project was designed using construction methods that would enable the project to be completed in as short a time frame as possible.

Utilizing Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) Construction enabled Architectura SA to meet and exceed these design goals. With advanced planning and coordination, the project was able to meet the rush schedule and was fully complete and operational over a 45-day construction period, including twelve (12) days allocated for the demolition of the existing structure. The exterior envelope built with AMVIC ICF Blocks was installed and completed over a five-day period and allowed for multiple trades to be streamlined into one.

As a result of keen project planning and the use of ICF construction, IBC Bank was able to return to normal banking operations in a brand new tornado resilient banking facility within 45 days of closing.

ICF Construction Team:

  • ICF Architect: Architectura SA
  • ICF Engineer: R-S-C-R, Inc.
  • ICF Installer: ICF Constructors, LLC
  • ICF Form Distributor: Amvic Direct
  • ICF System: Amvic

An existing branch location recognized to be obsolete and inefficient for the purpose of daily banking operations was in dire need of updating.

IBC Bank elected to replace the existing structure with new tornado resilient construction that would enable ease of business operations.
